PLATON+ is an EU-funded initiative (running from January 2008 to June 2010) which aims to increase awareness of European research in Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) and popularise:

  • its integration in other research disciplines/ projects
  • its research results to actors involved in policy formulation.

PLATON+ helps to exploit horizontally the competences of European reseachers in the Socio-economic Sciences and Humanities (SSH) field for the benefit of European research as information source for decision makers.

PLATON+ webpage (http://www.platonplus.net) acts as a virtual Knowledge Hub and offers different services to the research community and to interested actors from private and public organisations (search for project partners and experts/ promotion of research ideas and publications, virtual brokerage events).

PLATON+ team offers different events and provides own publications to ease the knowledge transfer of SSH research.

The project's target groups are:

1. Research Community (both in the SSH and other scientific disciplines)
2. Policy/ Decision Makers
3. Civil Society Organisations (CSOs)
4. Business Community

PLATON+ will be elaborated by a multidisciplinary consortium consisting of 12 European partners from 10 EU-28 countries: Greece, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Germany, Poland, Estonia, France and Turkey.

All PLATON+ activities, services and publications are FREE of CHARGE.
