In the frame of FAMILYPLATFORM ('Social platform on research for families and family
policies'), a project funded to the tune of EUR 1.4 million under the
Socio-economic sciences and humanities Theme of the Seventh Framework
Programme (FP7),EU-funded researchers are encouraging family welfare associations, researchers, and policymakers to join an online platform and contribute their expertise on existing and future issues affecting European families. The website is a part of a broader study focused on the growing diversity of family structures, living arrangements and lifestyle patterns found in Europe today. Results from the research initiative will inform the EU's future social research agenda.
